God fills the universe, yet He is not limited by space. He created the universe and existed before it (Gen. 1:1). If you could reach the end of space, God would be on the other side. Actually we shouldn’t think of Him in terms of space at all. He is not like a galaxy that you can measure in light years. If this were so a part of Him would be where you are, a part of Him at Pluto, and another part of Him at Earendel, a star 28 billion light years away. As a matter of fact, God in his entirety is present at every point of space and beyond: "Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!" (Ps. 139:7-8). This is enough to blow your mind, but practically, what difference does it make?
