Psalm 23:1-3
A lady once came to Martyn Lloyd-Jones with a problem. She said that she recited Psalm 23 to help her cope, but it didn't work: "The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters," she explained. "You are putting the emphasis in the wrong place," Lloyd-Jones replied. "Rather say, 'The LORD is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.' Focus on the Shepherd; not on yourself. Remind yourself of who He is." The lady went home and followed his advice. Within in a day she had conquered her problem. A message by Pieter du Plessis.
