Luke 12:13-21
Chasing worldly success is a fool’s errand. Just as you think you have it, it eludes you like smoke. Even if you were to become the most successful person in history, death will strip you of it. This goes for spiritual success too: the best of Bible characters failed. Jesus alone never failed. Of Him it was said: “The will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand... This is my beloved Son with whom I am well pleased.” Therefore confess your sins and failings to the Lord, and He will become your success. A sermon by Ivor Jefferies.
