When Christ returns He will be more terrifying to sinners than a band of male lions are to a hyena. To the righteous Christ is not so, but they will gaze upon the King in his beauty. Whereas Christ was unattractive before He was glorified (Isa. 53:2-3), He will return to be marveled at as the most handsome among the sons of men (Ps. 45:2, 2 Thess. 1:10). His beauty is not merely external, but we will see it in his spotless character. Above all we shall behold his matchless beauty fully displayed in the divine nature.
