A Father's love

Luke 15:11-32

"The Good, the Bad and the Ugly." So we can summarize the most well-known parable in the Bible. A bad son squanders his father's wealth and finds himself in dire need. A good father loves, embraces, welcomes, and restores his penitent son. An ugly brother refuses to forgive his younger sibling, and hates his father for doing so. The lesson is clear: the bad son represents wicked sinners who destroy themselves through their foolish choices. The good father represents God who freely forgives sinners who repent. The ugly brother represents self-righteous, religious people who think they are better than others, and that they deserve God's favour. Which brother are you? A message by Werner de Bruin.
