Ezra 9
How soon did the people of Israel sin after they returned from captivity in Babylon! And how quickly do we turn away from the Lord if we are not careful. Didn't Paul say to the Galatians, "I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel" (Gal. 1:6)? The only solution in such cases is to repent. Therefore "...'rend your hearts and not your garments.' Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and he relents over disaster." (Joel 2:13). A message by Thapelo Mpai.
